The citation as it was given

Pieter Olckers found two framed portrait sketches under decades of dust in an attic ("solder") on Klueplaas, Klaarstroom - "Die plaas staan nou bekend as Middelwater en is gelee tussen Prince Albert en De Rust." No names survive on the backing paper. Frans (in the thread) dated the dress to the 1870s-early 1880s and suggested Ockert Almero Oosthuizen (PER-000005, FS LDQC-R1B) and Aletta Catharina Maria Helena Hitge (PER-000139, FS LV6B-NWH) - SUSPECTED, NOT CONFIRMED. Provenance fits: Vaste Water (Ged.5 of Middelwater's remainder) passed to Susanna Maria Klue by deed 3007/1923, the year after Ockert Almero died (2 Jan 1922) - see OWN-000058. Olckers' 1915 map crop independently shows Middelwater "J.D.J. Oosthuysen, Amended Title 1884, P.A.Q.3" and Vrolykheid "N Hitge, 15 April 1841, B.W.Q.5-18" - corroborating OWN-000002 and the B.W.Q.5-18 reading on DOC-0027 (see OWN-000022). Clean copy of the map to be requested.

Kept verbatim. This project contradicts published genealogies and corrects a family's own oral tradition, so every claim has to be checkable by someone who was not in the room.
