The citation as it was given
"The name Almero came from an ancestor who had a rich friend. The friend said that if a son was named after him, the son would receive an inheritance." Recorded as told, before the 1786 register was read - and it independently gets the shape right: a FRIEND, not a relative.
Kept verbatim. This project contradicts published genealogies and corrects a family's own oral tradition, so every claim has to be checkable by someone who was not in the room.
