Research notes

SG plan 1581/2016 (DOC-0314), approved 2016: 2874.6230 ha, Prince Albert Municipality. A MODERN CONSOLIDATION, not an old farm - it is three pieces put together: Farm No. 233, Portion 3 of SAND RIVER No. 130, and Portion 3 of SAND RIVER No. 129.

It is here because of what it ABSORBS and what it adjoins: its neighbours on the face are ARGENTINA No. 148 (PAR-000229), KLEIN SLEUTLEFONTEIN No. 27 and GROOT TYGER BERG No. 102 portions 6 and 7 - ground this record already tracks. A consolidation diagram is where old farms go, so it is evidence for the ownership layer even though nobody in this project held it. Compiled by M. B. Straughan PLS 0907.

EXTENT CHECK: the plan states 2874.6230 ha and the cadastre polygon draws 2839.1, which is 1.2% out. Not enough to doubt the identification - the farm number, the division and the three named components all agree - but recorded because the two Willowmore diagrams checked to within half a percent on the same test, and a looser fit should be visible rather than smoothed.
