In force 1 December 1834, but the formerly enslaved passed into a four-year apprenticeship and were not free until 1 December 1838. The distinction matters here rather than generally: LEAD-0065 in this model rests on adult baptisms clustering in the months after apprenticeship ended. Noted 5 Aug 2026.
