What this establishes

She died the day her fourth daughter was born, at twenty-five. The house is one bed, one chest, one chair. The stock is the estate: fourteen oxen, three cattle, forty-eight sheep, thirty-two wethers, ninety-six goats, two horses, a wagon; and, at the end of the list, "1 Gesang boek 3:--". A hymn book, valued at three rixdollars, in a house with one chair.

The sheet was taken "aan Grote Swarte" by the same field cornet, G. Joubert, who took the Buffelsvlei inventory three months earlier, and the two appraisers swore to it at Swellendam. Whose daughter she was is not on the sheet; the surname, the year and the ward put her in the Buffelsvlei household of the senior's children and grandchildren, and no closer. not yet verified
