Research notes
The Farm No. 221, 2053.9040 hectares, Administrative District of Prince Albert. Components: (1) figure ABCDEFGHTUVWXY = Remainder of the Farm Bloemendal A No. 166 (Dgm 3883/1956, D/T 1957-269-13440); (2) figure SJKLMNPQR = Portion 6 of the Farm Vrisch Gewagt No. 163 (Dgm 3662/2003). Names ELEVEN adjoining parcels, including 'Portion 2 (MATJESGOED KLOOF) of the Farm Bloemendal Annex No. 164' - which corrects this project's reading of that struck-through name on the 1913 verso (DOC-0161), where it was transcribed 'Nabijgoed Kloof'. Matjesgoed Kloof SURVIVED as an official portion name; Droege Kloof, on Ptn 3 of the same farm, did not.
