[SRC-072 + DOC-0004] The government land surveyor who laid out this whole corner of the Karoo. Signed the 1834 diagram of Varsche Fontein and the 1833 surveys of Middelwater, Vrolykheid, Klaarstroom, Rondabel and Vlakfontein. One surveyor, two seasons, and then a single grant day in 1841.
