Navorsingsnotas
Cut off the consolidated farm almost at once: onderverdelingskaart L.G. 8871/47, art. 24(b) of Act 8 of 1927, surveyed May 1947, approved 17 March 1948, transfer 2168/48. The original map is 8870/1947 - the consolidation sheet - so the farm was consolidated and subdivided in one operation. Neighbours named: Klein Antjes Fontein, Gedeelte 6 van Antjes Fontein, the Remainder of the consolidated Leeukraal, the Remainder of Wit Poortje, a Gedeelte van Zeekoe Gat and the Remainder of Zeekoe Gat, with Trakas Kuilen to the east and the roads to Beaufort-Wes and from Meiringspoort crossing it.
[7 Aug 2026] PINNED to the cadastre on key W052C061000000000024000010. The diagram gives 3633.3864 morgen = 3112 ha and the modern polygon measures 3170 ha, a difference of 2%.
[13 Aug 2026, SRC-436] NAMED FROM THE 2023 VALUATION ROLL, which gives this portion as "Antjiesfontein" (3112.1120 ha). This row previously read "Leeukraal No. 24 Gedeelte 1", which was a farm-and-portion label rather than a name. The roll is a rates document and good evidence for what the ground is called now; it says nothing about what it was called when the portion was cut.
Werknotas, hier gewys omdat dit 'n private navorsingsbou is.
-
“Klein Antjes Fontein” is named as a neighbour 3 times and we hold no parcel for it
second order · B3 unheld-farm
3 separate surveys in this model put Klein Antjes Fontein on the boundary of ground we do hold (PAR-000178, PAR-000179, PAR-000181). It has no parcel of its own here, so nothing is known about who held it or when, while it borders farms at the centre of the project.
What would settle it The Surveyor-General's farm index for the registration division will give it a farm number and a diagram; the cadastre pull in `data/fetch_cadastre.py` then places it on the map.
-
“Gedeelte 6 van Antjes Fontein” is named as a neighbour 2 times and we hold no parcel for it
third order · B3 unheld-farm
2 separate surveys in this model put Gedeelte 6 van Antjes Fontein on the boundary of ground we do hold (PAR-000178, PAR-000179).

Nobody is on record as ever having held this
third order · B8 never-held
Antjiesfontein (Leeukraal Nr. 24 Gdlt 1) is in the model and drawn on the map, and carries no ownership record of any kind, not a grant, not a transfer, not an occupation.
What would settle it The Surveyor-General's diagram for the farm number names the grantee and the date; the deed reference on it opens the transfer chain.
Found by breaks.py reading the model against itself, not written by hand,
each one is a shape of missing record, not a fault in the data.
