[TO VERIFY] Whether Klein [?Kruis] is a farm near De Rust is unchecked. *** THE INFORMANT IS HIS WIDOW, AND SHE CORRECTS SOMETHING RECORDED AN HOUR EARLIER. *** A. S. M. KLUE, 'eggenote teenwoordig by oorlye', is ANDRINA SUSANNA MAGDALENA, married to him at De Rust in December 1929 (SRC-609) and signing under his surname eleven years later. She was in the room. NOTE THE INITIALS AND DO NOT TRANSPOSE THEM. The WIFE is A.S.M. Andrina Susanna Magdalena. The BROTHER proposed for the 1929 marriage witness is A.M.S. Anton Michiel Salomon. One transposition apart, and on the marriage register she signs as A. S. M. LE ROUX in her own right, so the witness 'A. M. S. Klue' there is somebody else and the brother reading survives. It is still initials only. [TO VERIFY] WHAT IT CONFIRMS: the age of 70 fits a birth on 23 December 1869 to the year; 'getroud' fits a man whose second marriage held to his death; and 'algemene boer' fits the landbouwer of Kopjes in 1929. He died in hospital at Oudtshoorn on the tenth day after a hernia operation, of an embolism. AND HE IS KLUE ON THIS FORM TOO. FamilySearch carries him as KLEU. Three documents now, all Klue.
