Die sitasie soos dit gegee is
'THERE ARE MANY GRAVES, BUT ONLY ONE HEADSTONE. Album complete.' Two images: an overview and BEUKES GERHARDUS FRANSOIYS 1838-1914 - the same stone this project holds as GRV-0016 and IMG-0001. THIS PROJECT NOW HOLDS EIGHT MARKED GRAVES IN THIS CEMETERY AND eGGSA HOLDS ONE. Their photographer in 2019 recorded the only bought headstone and treated the rest as unmarked; the hand-cut slate and sandstone markers, the 1848 and 1849 Storms, the 1874 child, the Freysen infant of 1902, the 1907 stone, the 1913 child and the broken cement marker of 1922 are all absent from it. Their note 'many graves, but only one headstone' is exactly the observation this project's own page is built on, arrived at independently. THE COORDINATE IS AN INDEPENDENT CHECK AND IT PASSES. eGGSA give GPS -32 56.770, 22 06.572, which is -32.946167, 22.109533. This project's coordinate, read off the geotag of a 2012 family photograph, is -32.946097, 22.108272. THEY ARE 118 M APART - the same cemetery, from two unrelated sources. RIGHTS: the photographs are eGGSA's contributors' and are NOT copied here. The names and dates in the captions are facts and are recorded; the images are linked.
Woordeliks gehou. Hierdie projek weerspreek gepubliseerde genealogieë en stel 'n familie se eie mondelinge oorlewering reg, so elke bewering moet nagegaan kan word deur iemand wat nie in die vertrek was nie.
