Die sitasie soos dit gegee is
12 529 morgen 470 square roods. THE GRANT IS WRITTEN ON ITS FACE, in words this project has had as an event but never as a document: "Granted on Perpetual Quitrent unto JAN ADRIAAN OOSTHUYSEN and STEPHANUS JOHANNES THERON on the 21st day of January 1868 and registered folio 1066 Division of Prince Albert." EVT-000062 already carries that date and the title P.A.Q.1-21; the FOLIO NUMBER and the surveyor are new. Bounded North by Rhemhoogte and Klip Gat, East by Kopjes Kraal and Klip Fontein, South by Govt. Land, West by the remainder of Rondable. A note in Melvill's hand: "From W3 to Riv. the middle of Stream is the boundary." A LATER ENDORSEMENT, 15.12.1926: a "trek" marked on the floating copy from x to y by Surveyor Loubser "is part of the one cancelled under S 254 of Ord. No. 13 of 1917. See Not. No. 71 page 359 of Prov. Gaz. dated 5 March 1926" - a right of way over the farm, extinguished by ordinance and gazetted. Named on the face: Wit Kopje, Elandsfontein, Groot and Klein Elandsfontein, Hartebeest Voedpad, Draaikrans, Honing Nest Poortje, Gevel Krants, Kopjes Kraal, Klipfontein and Government Land. | THE DEDUCTION TABLE on the back lists six portions cut out of Portion 1, and it checks against this model on almost every line: Ptn 2 "Portion A" 2107 mg 267 sr, deed 1900-14.1082; Ptn 3 BRAND KRAAL 4 mg 53 sr, deed 1910.133.8526; Ptn 4 DRIEHOEK 536 mg 14 sr, dgm 269/1919, deed 10.6.1919.5387; Ptn 5 HARTEBEEST VOEDPAD 1606 mg 79 sr, dgm 270/1919, deed 10.6.1919.5388; Ptn 6 ELANDSFONTEIN 2705 mg 257 sr, dgm 891/1921, deed 8.7.1921.6443; Ptn 7 KLEIN ELANDSFONTEIN 1544 mg 361 sr, dgm 3273/33, deed 16.5.1934-3875. Hartebeest Voedpad, Elandsfontein and Klein Elandsfontein match PAR-000043, PAR-000044 and PAR-000045 to the square rood. Driehoek is a NAME AND AN EXTENT THIS MODEL DID NOT HAVE for its Portion 4. And Brand Kraal DISAGREES: this table says 4 morgen 53 square roods, PAR-000042 carries 4 morgen 33. One of the two readings is wrong and the parcel is four morgen, so it is a small thing - but it is recorded rather than smoothed over. | [5 Aug 2026] SRC-039 RETIRED INTO THIS ROW. It was the source row for DOC-0026, the second row this project held for the same sheet, and it carried the same wrong reading: title 'Rondabel portion diagram, 1870 survey', reference 'SG Dgm 1870'. The sheet is dated 6 June 1872. Its id is retired and will never be reused.
