ROODE KRANS 48, B339/1832: 3000 morgen in the fieldcornetcy of Boven Olifants rivier, George's district, applied for by Hendrik Fredrik Grobbelaar, called the Roode Krans; N the Black mountain, SE the place Wilgerivier, S the Kammassie Hill 1700 roods, W the place Jagers rivier, SW the place Buffels Klip; the west boundary is lettered 'Loan place Jagers rivier of Mr. H. Botha & [?le] Roux'. Surveyed A. Egs. Petersen; title Geo.Q.4-[?29] 30.6.1832. PAARDE KLOOF 5, B344/1832: 3000 morgen, fieldcornetcy of Upper Olyphants rivier, applied for by Johannes Schoeman, called Paardekloof; W Jagers rivier 3000 roods, SW Wilgerivier 3500, WSW Buffles Klip 640, SSW Keurfontyn 240; above it '10300 Morgen of Govt Ground, sweet pasturage and supplied with water, part of it is applied for by H. Grobbelaar and W.A. Botha'. The Olifants and a stream both marked 'dry in Summer'. Title Geo.Q.5-34, 30.6.1832. KROMLAAGTE 4, 1976/1878: Lot 62, 583 morgen, Crown land, north Paarde Kloof, south Keurfontein and Brakkloof, west Windvogel Kraal. Not occupied ground in 1823. Windvogel Kraal (DOC-0320, 1878) is likewise Crown land, Lot 59, mountain ground up the Swartberg. THE DE RUST GRANTS (Oudtshoorn, fieldcornetcy Oliphants Rivier, district George): De Rust 301/1817 (a modern redraw; north 'Erfpachtland van Leroux, M. Bekker'); Doornkraal 252/1821 loan place 2911 morgen and Kruis Rivier 253/1821 2900 morgen [?for I.M. van Rooyen and Jacobus Scheepers; Matthys Schoeman and Gerrit Snyman]; Rietvalley 256/1821 for Ignatius Michael van Rooyen; Welgevonden 257/1821 for Johan Coenraad Marneweck; Buffelsvalley 240/1821 for Marthinus Schoeman. The 1823 ward's neighbours (SRC-525, SRC-638) place Modder Fontyn in the UNIONDALE stretch, not here.
