BLIGNAUT, married out of community of property to S. J. KLEU. SRC-615 is her own death registration at Aberdeen in 1962, born 19 December 1895 and a widow, and the four given names match in order. Two forms twenty-six years apart, and the second gives the husband the first withheld. S. J. KLEU IS ALMOST CERTAINLY A SEBASTIAAN JOHANNES, which is the single commonest male name in this family: SIX of them among the eighty-seven rows added on 2 September. For a wife born in December 1895 the likely ones are Sebastiaan Johannes Kleu b.1876 (G6RW-ZPV) or one of the two born 1879 (G82G-87N, and Sebastian Johannes Barnard Kleu GVJG-NPB, 1879-1918). NOT CHOSEN. Initials are not a match under 9. *** AND IT PUTS KLEUS IN THE JANSENVILLE AND ABERDEEN COUNTRY, WHICH IS WHERE THE REMHOOGTE GRAVE POINTS. *** The Barkhuizen genealogy already had a PIETER EGBERT KLUE born at JANSENVILLE in 1868 (SRC-614). This household is at LELIEFONTEIN in that district and marries a daughter to a Kleu. Aberdeen and Jansenville adjoin, and the man shot at Remhoogte in 1901 is said in both accounts to be of Aberdeen. *** THE NAMING PATTERN IS ON DISPLAY HERE IN ITS PUREST FORM, WHICH IS THE METHOD FRANS PROPOSED. *** The grandmother is MARIA JOHANNA CATHARINA SUSANNA GOUWS gebore BLIGNAUT, the mother is MARIA JOHANNA CATHARINA SUSANNA BLIGNAUT gebore GOUWS, and the daughter is MARIA JOHANNA SUSANNA CATHARINA KLEU gebore BLIGNAUT. Three generations, four given names, and only the order of Catharina and Susanna moves. A DATE ON THE FORM CANNOT BE RIGHT AND IS LEFT AS WRITTEN. She died on 13 February 1936 and the notice is signed 'Gedagteken te Graaff-Reinet, die 6de dag van Februarie 1936', which is a week BEFORE the death. The magistrate's stamp is 12 March and the Master's 16 March, so the month is very likely a slip for MAART. Recorded as it stands under 5a rather than corrected.
