Extending N. to the BLACK MOUNTAIN | E. to the Place JAGERS RIVIER distance 600 Roods | S. to the Place ROODE HEUVEL | [?N]W. to the Place KRUYS RIVIER distance 600 Roods | S.S.W. to the Place DIEPE KLOOF distance 960 Roods. Surveyed by me (sqd) A. EGS. PETERSEN, Sw. Surveyor.' | *** AND THE OLIFANTS RIVER IS DRAWN ACROSS THE FARM AND LABELLED 'OLIPHANTS R.' *** A marginal note claims 1408 morgen of vacant ground adjoining, 'sweet grass, with water supplied by the OLIFANTS RIVER, applied for by the Leaseholders of this place', and another 2198 morgen 'supplied by a stream of water applied for by Mr T. Bekker'. So this farm is ON the river the 1805 and 1809 records name. | Title Geo. Q. 5-23, 30 June 1832, in favour of [?] Botha and J. C. Snyman. Later: Lot R, 10 morgen 297 sq roods, expropriated for railway purposes Oct 1904 (P. Grant-Dalton, Government Land Surveyor); amended title of the remainder to T. J. VAN DER WALT, 22 Oct 1915.
