Transcribed in full: "Beacon report Elandsfontein, portion of Rondable. 1872-23-208. Vide subdivisional diagrams. Beacons D' & E cairns 3 1/2 ft by 3 ft. I superposed on E D', former superposition. The line E A' is fenced and beaconed off by line beacons. The corner of fence E A' produced is a wooden pole being also corner beacon. THE BEACON B IS ON LINE OF EASTERN BOUNDARY OF DRIEHOEK." TWO THINGS IT SETTLES. First, it confirms DRIEHOEK independently: that name was recovered from the Rondabel deduction table and written onto PAR-000117, a row that had carried no name and no extent - and here is a surveyor in 1921 using it as a known boundary, on the ground, with a beacon on its line. Second, the deed reference 1872-23-208 is the SAME reference carried by DOC-0044, the 1919 beacon report on Hartebeest Voedpad - so the two reports belong to one subdivision of Rondabel, worked two years apart. The letterhead is worth a note: Loubser wrote from LAINGSBURG, striking out the printed Stellenbosch. A surveyor covering the Koup from the north. | [5 Aug 2026] file repointed. It named the DOC-0214 copy of this beacon report; DOC-0214 was merged into DOC-0047 (byte-identical PDFs, one archive file 10767697 filed twice) and its id is retired. The DOC-0214-named copy stays on disk as an accepted orphan.
