A.W. Reynolds 1988-89; shows Gedeelte 4, 5 Vaste Water, 6 Avondrust, Restant [30 Jul 2026] GEOREFERENCED, method recorded so it is reproducible: SA Gauss conformal, CM 23 E, Y positive WEST and X positive SOUTH (proj "+axis=wsu"), X = 3 600 000 + the printed value per the diagram's own Konstante row. Datum CAPE (modified Clarke 1880, towgs84 -136,-108,-292) - the survey is dated Jul 1988 to Aug 1989 and so predates Hartebeesthoek94 (1999) by a decade. The Cape-to-WGS84 shift computes to 294.8 m here, matching the ~280-300 m Karoo figure in 9. Results: A -33.309145,22.500937; B -33.328737,22.481603; C -33.312031,22.498577; D -33.322532,22.488215; E -33.324471,22.486541; Droogekloof(377) -33.243926,22.559145; Meiringspoort(53) -33.404501,22.464821. CHECKED against the SG cadastre pull, and this is the part that matters: all five servitude beacons fall inside farm 169, and each falls inside the very portion the diagram letters it onto - A and C in SG 4/169 ("Gedeelte 4"), B and E in 6/169 ("Gedeelte 6 (Avondrust)"), D on RE/169 ("Restant"). Five independent agreements between a 1990 Cape-datum survey and the modern cadastre. The same test on a Hartebeesthoek94 assumption agrees on only 4 of 5, which corroborates the Cape reading - weakly, since it turns on one beacon near a boundary. Trig Meiringspoort falls outside the farm, as it should.
