A sourced gap beats an unsourced fill. These are the open questions on this person, stated rather than papered over.
Navorsingsnotas
[7 Aug 2026, from the inbox: SG diagrams for Doorn Kraal No. 116] Transfer Deed No. 1592 of 11 March 1913 passed Doorn Kraal Portion 3 to him; the Surveyor-General's 1949 copy of diagram 2103/1903 records it. Seventy-two years after the grant the farm is still in van Eck hands. Middle name given only as an initial on the sheet and not expanded here [TO VERIFY]. [DIAGRAM]
[7 Aug 2026] FLORUIT 1913, from Transfer Deed 1592 of 11 March 1913 passing the farm to him. He had no date at all until now, so the rule suppressed him fail-closed and the export refused to publish a parcel note naming him - correctly. A deed in his favour is a document placing him alive in 1913, which is what a floruit is.
These are working notes, not finished prose: they carry the reasoning, the corrections and the things still marked to verify. They are kept here so the page itself can read as what is known.
