Married MARIA DOROTHEA FERREIRA at GRAAFF-REINET on 13 January 1811 and had FOURTEEN recorded children, born 1811 to 1833 - a family large enough to put Minnes across the whole eastern Karoo in one generation. His daughter Susanna Elisabeth Johanna married Pieter Hendrik Cornelis Kritzinger at George in 1836.
